Help For Frankie

I have a 5 year old miniature dachshund named Frankie. Two days ago we were informed that he has a serious spinal injury that will be requiring surgery and hospital stays (where he is currently). We are not 100% on the issue yet, but will at the beginning of next week. The expected total cost of his operation will be $4000-6000.

Krista has set up and is updating daily a blogspot on Frankie and his condition. We are asking for anyone who has met Frankie or has the same soft spot for animals that we do that is able to make any kind of small donation, it would be greatly appreciated.

Read all about his condition, updates on him, and info about donating here:

BSK stuff

Since I took the day off to savor the fruits of a braceless existence, I figured I'd be productive. Here's a shirt design I did for Black Sleep Of Kali (the top thing is Russian for "Black Sleep Of Kali"):

And to top it off, I did some patches too:

Straight Teeth

Today I got my braces off. For those not in the know, I've been doing orthodontics for the last (almost) two years. For those even less in the know, my teeth were pretty crooked my whole life. It was the only physical insecurity I ever really had (or at least the biggest one) and would often get over-sensitive when teased about them as a kid.

In 2007 I finally decided to do something about it and sought out an orthodontist (I had been told I needed braces since I was 11 or 12 years old). After talking to a few different doctors, I decided on the one who would do my procedures mainly because he would not remove teeth, and told me it would take less time than traditional methods. Even though he was more expensive, I wanted to keep all my teeth and wanted this shit over with as quickly as possible.

I wore palette expanders (essentially retainers with a hinge in it that slowly widened my upper and lower jaw over the course of a year) which spread out my teeth. After that, on went the braces - my arch nemesis.

It wasn't the inconvenience of wearing them (well, most of the time...okay, about half way through I really started to get sick of having a second meal stuck in them after I was done eating) but I really don't like how braces look. So the vain side of me was embarassed of them. Eventually I got used to it and didn't think about them.

After a mere 8 or 9 months (but what seemed like much longer) here I am. Teeth fixed, confidence restored.

Here is, literally, the first picture I have ever publicly shown of my teeth.

After not being able to eat certain foods for a long time, I celebrated my emancipation by eating a Snickers bar.

Flesh Made To Suffer

As I mentioned in a previous post, after getting in touch with the guys - some of which I hadn't talked to in years - it looks like Flesh Made To Suffer will be playing a show this May when I make my first trip home in three years.

Details to come.

Football

Words cannot express how much I despise the San Diego Chargers.

Also, if you mispell the URL while going to this site and accidently type http://blogpsot.com/, it takes you to a Bible "mega site". These vultures claim in the first paragraph that "a few minutes reading this page could PROVE to you the Bible is true".

If god actually existed, he probably would have sent a half decent web designer your way.

Also, if god existed, San Diego would be a fucking CRATER.

Download Site

I just discovered this download blog this morning and downloaded about 20 albums in a half an hour. Mostly all mediafire links, and big on late 90's/early 00's hardcore (I mean real hardcore, not mosh metal) but with modern releases thrown in.
